Athlete Workspace · In SPP Pro

Know the athlete.
Then program.

Speed Power Play is a principles-led athletic performance platform for coaches. In SPP Pro, the Athlete Workspace keeps one record per athlete: their results, restrictions, check-ins, goals and your notes. Every block you deliver starts from that record, your athletes mark each scheduled session done, and every re-test adds to it.

Schedule the training here. Keep your existing systems for fixtures, session times and attendance.

01Build the pictureContext

Start from the athlete,
not the template.

Movement emerges from the athlete, the task and the environment. The same program lands differently on an athlete back from a hamstring strain than on one in full training. So the program starts from what this athlete brings, and the record keeps that in view.

Who

Who they are

Sport, position, training schedule, injury history and what they’re working on.

Now

How they’re tracking

Every test with its latest result, change and trend, alongside their wellbeing check-ins.

Limits

What limits them now

Injuries and restrictions, each with a review date, so you don’t keep programming around a problem that has resolved, or against one that hasn’t.

Next

Where they’re heading

Goals for this block, this season and the long term, with action points and what success looks like.

Getting the numbers in

Test the way you already do. It lands on the record.

Sensei, SPP’s AI assistant, reads a typed line or a photographed sheet into rows for you to check before anything is saved. Record several attempts and every one is kept, with the best counted.

On the testing day
Fill in the grid as you go. Each value saves as you leave the cell.
In a line
Type or dictate “Maya countermovement jump 38.4, Tom 10 m sprint 1.79 and 1.82”, check the rows, save.
From the paper sheet
Photograph it. Anything that can’t be read is left empty for you, not guessed.
From your spreadsheet
Import it as it is, with athletes matched by name.

Your notes on an athlete are yours. The athlete never sees them.

02Program from the pictureDecision

Every block
has an intention.

Start from SPP’s programs, from your own, or from a Sensei draft built on the record. Then say what the block is for.

Draft

Draft with Sensei

A first pass from the athlete’s record, for you to question and refine.

Name what the block should move.
Then find out whether it did.

When you deliver a program to an athlete or a group, choose the test it should move and when you’ll re-test. You see where each athlete stands on that test today, so the baseline is set before the first session.

03Run the weekRhythm

Plan the week.
See what needs you.

Put the block on the days it’s meant for. Your athletes see today’s session and mark it done, results land on the record, and This week brings back what needs you. The app opens on your athletes, with the first three of those things at the top.

Schedule

Put the work on its days

Schedule a whole program, or chosen sessions across days, for an athlete or a group. If they don’t have the program yet, scheduling delivers it.

Today

They train it and mark it done

Athletes see today’s session and the next seven days at the top of their Me page, open it in the program and mark it done. Staff can mark it for them.

Schedule page

See the whole week

Every scheduled session in the organisation for the week, one row each, with who it’s for and how many have marked it done. By day or by group, up to four weeks back.

This week

What needs you

Re-tests due or missed, restrictions and plans due for review, note follow-ups, athletes gone quiet on check-ins and sessions nobody marked done. Each row has one action.

A done mark is what the athlete reports.
Not a training load.

SPP schedules the training work, not fixtures, session times or attendance, and it doesn’t turn done marks into an adherence score. Sessions that pass without one come back to you in This week and in your briefs.

Did it
move?

When a re-test comes due, the Workspace reminds you, so the re-test doesn’t slip. The result lands on the block it was meant to move.

Programs & outcomes

Before, after, change. Against the test’s own spread.

Each delivered block shows its before, after and change, and whether the re-test happened on time. Each change is read against that test’s usual re-test spread, a figure you set for each test. A 2 cm gain on a jump that varies by 3 cm won’t be presented as progress.

One block, start to finish

Measured before.
Read after.

  1. Baseline

Where the athlete stands on the test the day you deliver.

  2. Deliver

The block goes out with its target test and re-test date.

  3. Re-test

When it comes due, it comes back to you with the athletes and test already chosen.

  4. Read

Before, after and change, read against that test’s usual re-test spread.

It tells you whether the number moved.
It doesn’t tell you why. That’s your judgement.

Made with the athlete’s check-ins and restrictions alongside. Restrictions due for review and athletes who’ve stopped checking in reach you the same way a re-test does.

  1. The plan keeps its history.

Each saved version is dated, and earlier ones stay open to read or print.

  2. The record outlasts the block.

Return from injury, a new season or a new goal starts from everything the athlete has already shown you.

05Sensei with the recordSupporting your judgement

Sensei, with
the record in front of it.

Wherever you use it, Sensei draws on SPP’s Core Principles and curated expert knowledge. In the Athlete Workspace it also knows the record, so its answers are about this athlete rather than athletes in general.

Ask

Ask about an athlete or a group

Ask about an athlete and the answer comes from their record, with links to the tests, programs, notes and plan behind each figure. Ask about a group and it reads each member’s latest results, re-tests, restrictions and sessions, answering athlete by athlete without ranking or averaging them.

Brief

Before a session

Pick a group and get a short brief: who’s restricted, whose re-test is due, who has gone quiet on check-ins and which sessions weren’t marked done. On a busy week, This week can open with the same kind of paragraph.

Block

Draft the next block

Sensei drafts with the athlete’s outcomes in view, including what the last program did on its target test. You review and edit before anything is delivered.

Plan

Draft the plan

Goals and action points filled in from the record for you to edit. Nothing is saved until you save.

Sensei drafts.
You decide.

Sensei is in beta. It is an AI assistant for training information, not medical advice. Coaches review its work and stay accountable for anything that reaches an athlete.

How Sensei works

06What your athlete seesBuy-in

Their numbers,
read the same way.

Athletes commit to work they understand. They see what you’re working towards together, measured the same way you measure it.

Progress

Their own progress

Their results and how they’ve changed, read the way you read them. A small wobble isn’t sold to them as a best.

Direction

Your direction

The goals and next step you’ve set, beside their numbers.

Pocket

The program in their pocket

Today’s session at the top of their Me page, marked done when it’s done, and a result recorded in two taps, even training somewhere else. On SPP Pro.Max, programs arrive in their language.

07Start in three steps

Three steps
to a working record.

  1. Add your athletes.

A name and an email is all it takes.

  2. Record a baseline.

Type it, dictate it, photograph the sheet or import your spreadsheet.

  3. Deliver a program with a target.

Name the test it should move and when to re-test, then schedule its sessions across the week. From then on, every re-test adds to the record.
